	Although there are not many British rifles mentioned here I came across this little nugget of information when sorting through information I had kept from years ago that people might like to file away for the future or immediate use. This comes from the now defunct English magazine Guns Review of 1981.

Many years ago (when the last Conservative Government - John Major's one) were banning pistols and a whole swathe of long guns, I wrote a poem lampooning Douglas Hurd (Home Secretary) and Douglas Hogg (Home Office Minister), thinking it might be included as a letter. They printed it as a leader. -- Aonghas
