32-40 starline brass shameless plug (Read 4277 times)

	Had to give my CC number to starline for some 32-20 brass that they will be shipping soon. As I was talking to Miss Linda I asked if I could put in a plug for starling to do a run of 32-40 brass. They have a list of brass that folks have asked them to make and 32-40 is on the list. Maybe if a bunch of us started doing this we may have new starline 32-40 brass. From reading the various posts here and on other forums lack of genuine 32-40 brass is becoming a problem. Think it over 1-800-280-6660 is the number to call. Frank

	After thinking about it, this is kind of like the thread we had on utilizing the 30-40 Krag case as a basic case for 38-40 Rem-Hep, 38-50 Rem-Hep, 40-60 Maynard, etc.. A basic case that could be formed into 25-20, 32-20, 218 Bee would be extremely helpful to a lot of shooters. That might be the most advantagous request made to Starline

	Yeah , I had started a thread in the reloading section about getting a group buy together and contacting Starline. I then received a reality check from some of the more experienced members stating that starline likes orders in the hundred of thousands of pieces. But your idea of contacting them and requesting the 32-40 be made is a great idea. I do have some 30-30 on order once fired and going to try to run them through my 32-40 sizing die .Their even in short supply !

	Well if enough people make requests we may get lucky sure can't hurt to try. I have 40 cases. Some old rem-umc and some Canadian made ones. Frank

	I spoke with them last week and was told they aren't set up to do bottleneck cases. Bruce

	32-40 isn't a bottle necked case. Same thing like 38-55,45-70,56-50, and 50-70. Would be nice to get some NEW cases with the 32-40 headstamp on them wouldn't it?. Frank

	A run of 38-55 Basic brass would be best. All it would take is to run the long (real length 2.125") 38-55 brass and leave off the 38-55 head stamp Just put Starline on it. From that you can make 32-40, 30-30, 25-35 and 815 X46R 40 Rod
