I wonder whist that material being used as a backstop was made of?  I could use some of that.

Yes, very interesting video.  Thanks for sharing.  I'd also wondered what type of backstop material was used, so checked a bunch of the comments and the authors responses.  Later on he indicated it's actually a bed sheet and said "Its not catching the bullets, there is actually 1000's of holes in it! its the same sheet I used in the shotgun chokes vid."

I seem to remember reading somewhere that if you have well cast but slightly asymetric bullet due to minor mold variations that by indexing them at 1, 2,3 4 o'clock etc that one could shoot a circle on a target without moving the rifle.

Might be an interesting experiment.

Nothing new its all covered in Mann's book.

I have not tried rotating a bullet as I index them but I have rotated the case a 1/4 turn for 4 shots and circled around the 25 ring. It was a test I have done on more than one occasion to see if indexing the case is really required.

This is a wonderful video 'cause you get to see how a bullet actually flies. With right handed rifling the barrel is actually pointed at the upper left corner of the target and then you see the bullet come down and to the right. With left handed rifling the barrel would be pointed at the upper right corner and would come down and to the left.
