This may not be the correct tab in the forum to post this, but it doesn't necessarily fit any of the topics.  A friend gave me an original copy of the rules and entry form for the 1876 Grand Centennial Rifle Contest at Creedmoor, Long Island.  I thought some of you may like to see this ...

An excellent and I presume now rare piece of NRA and Shooting history. There can't be many that have survived the 137 years it's been in existence. I'd suggest the good folks at Cornell Publications would like to make a copy of it.  As supplier you would get a free copy or two for the temporary loan of the original. It certainly would save wear and tear on it. There's lots of interesting stuff in that booklet. You can even get a smile at the admission rules for visitors and the charges.  Smiley

Joe, that was very considerate of you to post the attached paper ephemera for all to read and enjoy.  You are fortunate to have such a friend as the lady or gentleman who passed the item on to you.  I realize that is means a lot to you, and I certainly do not wish to be rude, nor presumptuous, but if you would ever consider selling the item, I know someone who would fully appreciate the items historical value, in the event you should ever wish to sell it.

A personal message would be appreciated.

My regards,
       /s/
Dr. Edward Maynard
