WEBB:
It was sent me by Art after we got together at a BP silhouette match at Shippensburg PA.   He was contemplating building a rifle and getting in on the fun.   The note on the back of the frame says it was taken in 2004.   He died not too long after that.   I hadn't thought it was that long ago -- how time gets away.

Guys, I have several photos that were sent to me from William Crowther Jr. of his father. His father has been know to me as Bill Crowther. I believe that all the photos that I have of him were taken between 1946 and 1952. I have posted one with this that is of Bill Crowther and Bob Wallack. Please review and tell me if Bill in my photo (on the left) and Art in your photo are one in the same person.

SENDARO:
Same guy, only much younger.   His name was William, but went by "Art".  He always signed his letters "Art".   All the old BR shooters knew him as "Art".  He and Bob Sears were the last two alive of the group photo of the "first" BR match at Johnstown NY.  Now only Bob is left, and still actively competing in CBA matches.
You have a treasure trove in those old photos.  There is a photo of Darce in one of Warren Page's "Ultimate in Rifle Precision", can't lay my hands on it right now.  She was also quite a BR shooter.

Chris, Thanks for getting back to me. I sent an email to Robert this AM. I told him about the Crowther photo album I have with photos from the end of WWII to what appears to me as the early 1950s. I have recently published a book on the history of the Pine Tree Rifle Club of Johnstown New York, "PINE TREE RIFLE CLUB OF JOHNSTOWN, NEW YORK A PICTORIAL HISTORY 1937 - 2014". In the book there are several photos of both Darce & Art. Darce won the Donaldson Trophy back in 1951. I also have the original photos that were taken at the historical 1947 1st BR match held at the PTRC. They are in the book as well.

Hope that Robert will entertain helping me Id a few of the people in the Crowther photos. Some I know who they are and many I do not. However I do believe that they are barrel makers, gunsmiths, bullet makers, and scope makers.

                   thank you, Sendaro
