This is a breech seating question. When pre-charging cases with powder before heading to the range I understand that some use florial foam wads to seal off the powder charge so as not to take chance of spill or contamination. I assume that the florial foam is cut into sheets or strips and the strip pressed down on the mouth of the charged case to make the wad and seal. All fine and good if this is the way it is done. However how thick should I cut the sheets of florial foam? Does the use of florial foam wads appear to have any effect on accuracy, or fouling, and so on. I'm sure that this has been covered before but I've never tried the florial foam wads. I can see the advantage of their use in some environments where setting up a powder measure may not be advantagious, and so on.

Would like to hear what you in the know have to say about this subject.

I stay away from all plastic in my loading period. I use either cork or wool felt. I have shot thousands of rounds over the years and neither has ever hurt my chamber or barrel.
