Lee dies aren't exactly known to be cast bullet friendly. The size die should work alright, the seat die might work. You need a die to expand the mouth of the cartridge enough it won't distort the bullet when seated. But I'm sure you realized that already. Try this on for size.

Cheers , Yes I have shot for many years Breach loaders, But just bought back from the dead a original rolling block #5 , put a 1'1/8"  new Goodien barrel I had from years ago, a pope sight, and had it chambered ... never had a 32-40.. I have decided to breach seat now... sorry .  it was not cut with any lead but I guess ill try it. I tried buffalo arms and they were out of Cowboy dies , but did not think of Midway, cheers or for that matter Wilson ...which I have many great sets from bench rest years ago ....Ill get onto them and see if they will do a 32-40 sizer . Not bad !!! I've got a bit of catching up then, Shot a similar group in a big comp 6..7 years ago down here, 40-65 , 52g swiss 3f , snover 1/25,   spg ... scored 100.8 won the day but...only 100m... its addictive this black powder thing ...

I'm not familiar with those targets as we dont shoot those comps down here , but 1 1/2 @ 200 is far from what we are achieving down here, in saying that , black powder only , no duplex or smokeless .  Lots of 100m bench , some long range 200 to 700m  and now maybe a 1000y match ?? not sure just over heard a conversation the other day ... on another note ...Mapes sights , how do I get one? I here they are pretty good .Do they have a site I can order from?

My very best most accurate loads with BP in the 32-40 is 200 gr bullets, 40 gr FFF. Card wad, set the bullet on it. Do not size your shells. Use a tapered bullet that fits inside the fired shell/neck very close. 

When traveling, carry the bullets separate. Set the bullets in the cases once you get where you'll be shooting.

With your BP loads,  40 g FFF , just wondering what brand of powder do you use ?  We dont get much of a range down here , Swiss is hard to get and cost twice as much $100....Wano powder is what most use..
