Thank you BWDarr, this is news that I am glad to hear!
I'll send a PM to get current info.

Of some possible interest re discussion of small center-fire 22's.  See eBay item 331128384042   This is a #3 Ideal Tool for the 22 Harwood Hornet which was based on the 25-20 Stevens SS case.
Enjoy,
Leon

Ended up with a pair of those sometime back that are both marked...     .25-25 & 21.

I like the looks of this!  Can you guys using this bullet provide the specifics as to the case and powder charge as well as the velocity and groups you are getting?
Thanks
Scott

Many years back I ran across a 418 1/2 that someone had very carefully converted to 22 Hornet.  Original caliber was the .22 WRF.  I will not argue that this is a conversion that should never be done but the rifle was in mint condition and very expertly converted to the Hornet and I paid way too much for it.  Later, when reality set in I started playing with loads both in the .22 rimfire range and up to almost .22 Magnum range.  I almost wonder if this wasn't what the original owner / converter had in mind as I quickly found that not only did the old rifle shoot incredibly well it handled very well as a excellent field rifle.  Nowdays when I set out for a afternoon of bunny hunting or just simply a afternoon of easy plinking, this is the rifle I pick up and take along.  For what I almost kicked myself for paying too much for has turned out to be one of the more satisfying investments I have ever made.
Consider making up your rifle using the Hornet as a base cartridge then work up your loads.  It may make some cringe but if you have half the fun I have had through the years, You will find it more than worth it.

Looks like Bertram may carry this brass and uses a small rifle primer.  Using a cast bullet, looks like it may be cheaper than current .22 prices in the long haul.

It does seem like a great alternative to a rimfire these day's. I've been thinking about having a small 22 cf barrel made for my CPA Mod 49. I can't seem to find a pain base mould in .225 dia. None of the mould makers I've looked into make them either.

Those look like they would work great to replicate .22RF fixed ballistics.

I'll be using the 70gr Darr spitzer breach seated in a .22WCF sometime in the near future.

Hi Scott,

Send a pm to BWDarr 7groove. Check the link below. You'll be surprised how well the 22WCF preforms out to 200yds.

Interesting tidbit on Morris tubes for Martini’s...  shown in the advertisement from the 1935 A.G. Parker catalogue:

(2) A .22 cal. Aiming Tube at 25/- with central fire long rifle cartridges at 9/- per 100
