I just bought a Stevens A & T 44 1/2 in 32.40. It's a nice rifle and I would like to shoot it!  Anybody have load data? I would appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Hi Bob,   look at the thread at the top of this section called "Schuetzen loads",  if you haven't already.  There will be more than a few places to start.

Can't help with loading data but welcome to the forum. The Stevens 44 1/2 in .32-40 is an excellent choice. Have one myself along with a decent collection. I don't qualify myself as an expert but know enough to be dangerous and I do have a good selection of reference material on Stevens. Lots of other Stevens guys here also so feel free to ask questions and contribute yourself.

Are you looking for breach seating data or fixed? Smokeless or Black Powder? If you are not more specific in the kind of data you are looking for you might receive a mixture of all four noted options above and they might not be presented for a specific use. I might also ask if you plan on shooting any of the competitive sports and if not do you plan to use for hunting or possibly another purpose.
