Thanks for the welcome guys, I have a few single shot rifles including a sharps carbine/rolling block/snider carbine/2 martinis/ and i believe a stevens in 25rf collecting dust in a corner somewhere, also have a few western guns from my time reenacting and a few european arms, my favorite guns are always american or german made.

  Hello Mark , and a jolly good welcome from one Brit in the Colonies to another Brit in the Mother Lands.

How easy we forget all the goodness that British Small Arms has brought to we mere mortals.  Particularly at times when we have had to resort to armed violent to stave off those nasty aggressors who have sought to usurp our freedoms and place us into a state of bondage.  Have you even seen some of the photos of London after a night of buzz bombing circa 1942-44 ?  I'm sure you understand what they were saying to us ?  Excuse me Mr. Churchill, for I am all for forgiveness, but not for forgetfulness.

In addition to that, as if "that" weren't enough, B.S.A. made one of the nicests motorcycles to cross the Atlantic in a westward direction.

well in answer to all your replies, first got lots of pics but i guess you want gun pics, second i got fed up pushing old BSA motorcycles home so now ride something reliable (HD), third motherland is actually Canada and if i could i would ship my whole collection and myself back to the motherland and shoot them myself, anyway thanks for the warm welcome from all of you and i'll get some pics up within the next few days, don't know how good they will be because i will have to take them indoors, if i take them outside i will be taken away.

Welcome aboard. Now I have a couple questions for you. Recently I've become rather fond of Rook rifles and have been reloading for a 297/250.
In all the UK has the supply of old ELEY ammo long since vanished as well? Also is/was there ever anybody that produced proper molds (.251) for these 25's ? Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi Tim_s, in answer to your question i think all ammo has disapeared from these shores, the powers that be think that we are not responsible enough to be trusted with anything more lethal than a peashooter, maybe one day they will ban those too, sorry can't help you with your other query rook rifles are not my thing and reloading equipment and supplies are not available to anybody unless you have a license and they are hard to come by in the UK.
