They're low on Velveeta too?? Cry

Now, really help me out!  Winter .22 offhand shooting has started but I can't find standard velocity ammo anywhere.  I've been waiting for some back orders but nothing has arrived.  Anybody know of a source for the cheaper stuff?  Bob

Happy days are here again, the .22 shortage is over. I just received an e-mail from Natchez telling me that the Federal .22 ammo I inquired about on 1/21/2013 is now back in stock, tho there is a 'limited supply".

I have SK standard on back order two months now. I picked some up from another vender at almost 1 1/2 times the price just to get by.

It is available at my local gun shows. Crazy high prices. Managed to pick up 7 boxes of slightly older Remington Target in less than pristine boxes for $20 out the door. Did not really need it but could not pass it up at that price. Should be fine for the informal shooting I do.

It seems the days of buying ammo from on line venders in NYS are over.

Over the past year or so one thing has not changed, and that is that there's been plenty of .22 ammo, if you're willing to pay $15.00+/box - Lapua, Eley, etc.

I don't get it, but as a matter of fact I do have Velveeta cheese in the fridge. Biggi purchased it for making sauces. Hadn't had Velveeta since I was a kid.

You want to know what I shared with Old-Win?

So now I'm thinking how this would go over when I show up to a .22 silhouette match and how to convince the match director to let me shoot a .25 in the match....

25-20SS squibb loads? Anyone? New thread? A new .22 centerfire cartridge must be invented to replace the extinct .22? The Zimmersutzen? Oh, ammo problem there too,...........hmmm.
