Got mine today at the P.O.
Truly an awesome work for sure.
And It was nicely packaged to prevent shipping damage .
Unlike some other half-assed deliveries I've received recently.

Couple years ago I rushed to the post office to pick up a nice rifle. I believe you have a package for me, Tammy. From the back,.........I'm pretty sure it's a rifle, Joe!  She hands me a big long box with a muzzle sticking out of one end.
A little finish rubbed off the cheek plate was all.

Huge book that Hepburn book.

   Joe.

It's a shame that a nice book like that about an American made product had to be printed in China.
Probably would have cost $250+ if it would have been printed here.

G'day all.
My copy arrived today in Oz after a long journey across the Pacific. Great book & well worth the wait. Where did he find all those Hepburns in mint condition? Don't you boys shoot your rifles over there?
Hope you all have a great New Year & all the best for 2014.
Cheers Spud

I spent about a decade working for a small publisher producing high end coffee table pictorial history books similar to the ones Rowe etc do.  (not on arms however)

Getting high quality high resolution color images printed & bound in larger that nominal 8 1/2x11 format in books with the high value production values you see in these books Is almost impossible to do in the US.   There are few old fashioned "perfection-binding" publishers left, and few of those can do the "oversized" volumes especially in color, and almost none of those will accept print runs under 2 or 3 thousand.  There is a huge up-front cost.  the economics on these type proects are a real gambler's nightmare

We had to use printers in Italy and Germany.  When I left they were researching sources in east asia since even the Italian publisher was demanding more and the overseas shipping was a HUGE problem
