I am worried as I sent him a check a couple of months ago and it has not been cashed yet.

No, the early orders are shipping now. I suggest you PM ssrifles here on the board to get one. I'm waiting anxiously for the mailman to deliver mine.

I received mine yesterday. The cover looks great, but my wife wrapped it up for Christmas before I could sneak a peak inside! Now for the Pope book.

It was shipped from Rhode Island& I'm next door in Connecticut, so delivery was quicker. I'd expect all the others within a few days.

Regards,
Ron

I saw advance copies of the Hepburn book and the Pope two book set. The Popes' are equally great.

Got mine today, nice book, not as useful to me as many of the books I have because it is mostly a picture book of nice rifles, and I'm a gun butcher, not a collector.

But, as with most all the books I buy, immediately see the value in it.  I've had a rifle sitting in a corner for some time that I haven't been much interested in, hadn't even looked at it closely; just bought it cheap for about the value of the long range tang sight on it.  I never looked past the sights when I bought it; no need at the price I paid.  It classifies as a grade B Heavy Match, with a #5 or #6 barrel, double sets, long range match sights, and rubber shotgun butt.  The book states less than 20 of the heavy match known.  Been at a loss what I should do with it, this eliminates the option of taking it apart and using the action for something and the sights on a rolling block buffalo rifle!  I think I'll take it to the range and see how it works; the rifling in it is quite good still.

Also had an unknown buttplate in a parts drawer that I've been saving to use on a "fantasy" RB (a model that factory didn't make).  Turns out it's a match grade B or C Hepburn plate.  It's destination in my scheme of things would have been on a rolling block in equivalent to heavy Match B or C, would have been right in place.

Nice, book, well put together and laid out well.

dave

Mine arrived in the mail yesterday. Very nice, indeed.
The listing of serial #s and build in the back is a nice touch. Unfortunately, mine (#2395) is not one of the ones for which info was available.

My copy just made it out here in WA State today.
Just opened the cover, and settling in for some good reading.

Gonna write it off as a business expense.
