58 cal rifled musket paper cartridges are easy.  Roll a paper tube around the base of a Minie ball, tie it on the rear grease groove with thread, fill the tube with 50-55 grains of FFg, fold over the empty tail of the tube, virtually any light paper will do, newspaper will do but may split.  Bite off the tail when you load.
Percussion pistols used a combustable nitrate treated cartridge, paper rolled over a tapered wood dowel form, then a thin well nitrated tissue glued in the small end, fill with proper dose of FFFg and insert ball or conical bullet and tie with thread.  Best to roll bullets in hot melted beeswax to prevent multiple discharges first.  My son blew the barrel off of a good 1860 Army when he used Crisco over the ball after loading.     James

Roll a "dewbie" out of ZigZags (rolling papers) and black powder for your cap and ball.

I fill em with the full charge my ROA, it consumes the whole paper and seating the charge with the load lever ruptures the paper no problem.

Just make sure you dont go for a day of plinking with any "Grateful Dead" fans, that could end up with a man loosing his mustache.

Make your own combustible paper.  Get some stump killer  containing Potassium nitrate (saltpeter) from Home Depot or Lowes. (might be able to get Potassium nitrate at some drug stores, home and gardening outlets, food supplements & etc..)

In a glass container put in x-amount of water, then stir in the Potassium nitrate granules until no more will dissolve.

Take paper and soak in mixture until saturated, remove and let dry, and you are good to go.

Note:  There are some stump killers on the market today which do not contain Potassium nitrate, so read contents before buying.
