I am using Win 7 and it has a picture compression option. I was able to downsize a picture of a Stevens single shot to less than 500 KB but for some reason it will only reduce the Martini to 1 MB. I want to list my rifles in the way I want. I will keep trying.

I just save any pictures that I want to post to photobucket.com. Then when I want to post it on the Net, photobucket automatically sizes them correctly.

Try this.... right click on the picture. There should be a option of "open with", click on that and it should give you several options, Microsoft Office Picture manager is the one I use. It should also give Paint as a option. Click Picture Manager and in the tool bar, click Picture and there will be a option to resize, click that, then resize by percent. In your case pick 45 or 50%, then click "ok", click file and save. Put the curser over the picture and it will tell you what the size is.

Frank, I followed your instructions and I was successful in reducing the pictures to an acceptable size, however when I try to upload said pictures a message pops up telling me the pictures are not on my hard drive. Strange, since the hard drive is all I have.

I've been following this thread for several days, I am beginning to wonder if we are being scammed & the rifle does not exist.

I just take a picture with the lowest pixel setting ie: postcard....or 600xwhat ever it is...and save it to your desk top. And then down load it too the post. It should be small enough if you take it with the smallest setting on the camera I think...

Terry, as I stated in my last post, I was able to downsize the pictures to well below 500KB but in doing so they are not accessible to the site browser. In way of explanation, I bought another computer just before joining this site and I moved from windows XP to Win 7. I am still finding my way. I do deeply recent the remark by Mike. I have never met this man and have no idea why he should insult me by saying I was working a scam. I had no difficulty posting pictures of all my single shot rifles on the CAST BOOLITS website. I simply thought that GENTILMAN on this site my enjoy seeing them as well. I am sorely tempted to chuck the whole idea. Maybe tomorrow I will try again, maybe not. Good night.

My computer guy just came over and showed me the error of my ways. I will now try to repeat what he did to upload pictures. I do wish it were possible to preview post with pictures on this site. I have pictures of several single shot rifles I would like to share along with target scopes.

Glad to see it, it looks neat, sorry about the remark, I had an extra glass of wine that night, didn't mean for you to take it wrong.
Hope you will accept my apology

Inspiring. I've got a BSA .22 match rifle I want to turn into a gallery gun for use at my local indoor range. I want it to look much like that. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
