	I am looking for information on the preferred twist rate for a rifle barrel chambered in the 357 Maximum. The client want to shoot 158-200 cast and jacketed bullets. TIA SSS

	My 357 Max is a 20 twist and I shoot the Lyman 35875 and 358315, both 208 gr. at velocity's (35875) as low as 1300 fps. 18 - 18 3/4 is the standard twist for most 38 (357) barrels. Frank

	Some 357 Max barrels used a 14 twist.

	Mine is a rebored Martini Cadet original barrel with a 1 in 16" twist. Shoots RD358190 which drop out at 195gr PP at 2100 into 3/4". Tons of fun. GW

	I have a custom Ruger #1 and it has a 1:14 twist and I shoot 150-200gr bullets.
