Ok folks, anybody want to throw out any load ideas for this peashooter. Got my new custom brass, got some pan lubed 50 gr. lead slugs and I'm starting out with 1.7gr of Bullseye. Still looking for a mold and/or any heavier lugs. Kind of reluctant to push jacketed slugs down the 19th century steel but at 1100 fps or so.....maybe.
Any thoughts appreciated.

NEI makes a 51gr .251" mould, maybe he could cut the cavity a little deeper with the cherry for wider base band and get you up to 55gr+, just select the down arrow to choose bullet diameter on the page from the link.

I shot one of these for years and 1.8 grn of Bullseye was about optimum so you are not far out.
Mine was sensitive to bullet diameter---I used a 45acp mould which cast out at .257" and the barrel was spot on .25". A larger calibre would tolerate the seven thou oversize bullet, but this little rifle would not. A home made sizing die rectified the problem.

You may already know of this forum but if not you can probably find lots of information on your rifle and loading data.
