Windage Issue - Hi-Lux LER 2-7x32

Background:
* System II Aydt scope rail
* Warne 2B1LM detachable mounts
* Hi-Lux LER 2-7x32 scope
* BSA Bore Sighter
Issue:
I turned the scope windage clockwise to the maximum travel. Won't turn any further. On the bore sighter, the scope windage will not travel to the center of the grid.  It is 7 grids to the right (28" @ 100yds)
Question:  Is the a way that the windage knob can be adjusted to increase the travel to the left so it will center on the grid and also leave additional clicks when shooting the rifle?

JB,
Your problem could be in either the scope rings or the rail. Check the rail to see if there is any taper to it and make sure there is no burr on the solid side of the ring dovetail or the rail. If not, mount 1 ring and put a piece of 1" CRS in it (assuming they are 1" rings) then, slide the other ring up to it and see if they match.

Other things that could do it are:

1. The rail is machined at a slight angle. Knowing these rifles, I doubt that.

2. Bent barrel or off center bore, doubt that, too.

3. Defective scope. Is it new or used?

A sure cure (other than a bad scope) would be to get some Redfield bases on it, so you can adjust the windgage.

Frank, don't have a clue what the abbreviation CRS is but you jogged my head - shim the darn scope mounts!
Found a plastic No Trespassing sign - cut the shims from the sign.  They wrap around the mounts nicely and when the halves are tightened, compress firmly.  Believe am going to use the plastic shimming verniers instead of metal shims

Put 2 pieces of the plastic on the right side of the mounts & 1 on the front left mount.  Worked perfectly after fiddling with the number of shims, taking the scope on & off for close to 2 hours.

Now have 21" of equal elevation and equal 16" of windage with the settings at zero for each

So next, range time to fine tune the settings ... Thanks!
