Need help identifying 30-40 Krag barrel

I just bought a new, old stock round, tapered barrel chambered in .30-40 Krag. It is threaded 1" 14 TPI with an extractor cut on the left and a big dovetail on the bottom of the barrel about six inches ahead of the breech end.  I was anticipating putting it on a highwall action, but that thread is 1" 16 TPI and the dovetail is too far forward for the Highwall mainspring.  Any ideas what this barrel was intended for ?

I considered that barrel myself but, it was to light on the breech end for me.

It may be for a Hoch, their threads are 1x14. What direction does the cut for the extractor go? Up on the left side tangent to the chamber or into the chamber from the left, at a right angle.

Also, how long are the threads?

BTW, The Winchester HW large threads are about 15/16 dia.
