Rolling Block #4

Have run across a #4 RB in .32 rimfire. Is the somewhat later model with the lever takedown. The barrel is a bit loose when the lever is locked in and am wondering if anyone is familiar enough with the #4 rolling block to know how much effort might be involved in having this repaired. Am thinking I need a .22rimfire rolling block and having this barrel lined would get me there. Thanks.

What is the OD of the liner you are planning to use?

Do you already have a 22RF breechblock and 22RF extractor to swap in, or are you going to convert your 32RF block and build up your 32RF extractor?

Hmmm.......... beginning to look like a fair amount of effort involved to change over to .22rimfire from .32rimfire. Think I'll pass and find one in .22rimfire so don't have to mess with changing the block and extractor. Not sure of the OD of the T.J. liner, which is the one I would use.

Good decision. If you decide to do a rebuild on one I would recommend you find a solid breech (1st model) version of the No. 4.

BTW: Once you decide to rebuild it beware, the cost will just continue to increase as you add better sights, finish, etc... LOL
