Alliant 300MP In The 32-40 & 38-55

Print Post
Ladies and Gentleman there were some on this site that thought my posting the results at the target based on my extensive testing with both the 38-55 and the 32-40 with the new Alliant 300MP Lot #1 was being boastful of which is not truly in my nature so it was in my best interest for me to delete all of those posts.

If there is anyone that is still showing an interest in my results please feel free to either send me a PM on this web site or to e-mail me at johnlouis123@att.net and I would be more than happy to share those results and any knowledge that I might have gained through my testing by sharing my results based on what the targets provided while being shot at 200yds of which in my personnel opinion is the only thing that I feel can provide any honest merit.

I would also like to continue to receive feed back from those of you who have given this new powder an honest run for the money!

J.Louis

I'm interested in the 32/40 results. I already copied what you posted about the 32/40.
I think they are poor sports if they can't handle the results of someone posting what they test.

Great job keep up the good work......Nailman

How the heck are we going to learn about what might just be the next best thing to sliced bread if folks don't share their stories about their load developments?  I enjoyed hearing about how and why you went about getting to the results.  Those who thought you were boasting...well, they may have never had an original thought and were just jealous!   Grin

J. Louis,
Not sure where you are coming from, but if we cannot brag on a new rifle, new load, target, or other hardware or knowledge, this site is a waste. We all do it and learn something from others. That is the value of the site. Your posts are not my thing but I learned from them. Keep it up and remember the Latin about grinding you down.

I am sorry to see that your information has been removed. I read the postings recently and was looking forward to more information on the Alliant powder. I have even been looking for sources, for the powder to try. I hope you reconsider and keep the thread alive with your helpful information.

Thank you, Kcajeel

John,
I found your information very valuable. I spent yesterday working on some loads for 38-50 Ballard with 300MP. As soon as I get to the range, I'll post results. Thanks for your work and your postings.

JOhn,  Just to be sure I am understanding what happened.   You deleted the posts yourself in response to a single individual's criticism?   It was not at the request of the site owners or moderators?

If so that is your option of course,  I also appreciated your efforts and think you might well reconsider your action.

John,

I always enjoy reading about the experiments that succeeded and also the ones that failed.  I am still learning about this schuetzen game.
When someone shoots a 'possible' and shows the target, it just inspires me to keep trying.  Especially, if the possible was shot with similar equipment that I am shooting [no fancy 'race' guns].

This forum is important because of the 'shared' information provided
by the members.  If some folks can not be happy for another persons  success, then they have a cross to bear.  This forum will become useless if the members do not feel comfortable posting their good as well as the poor results of their efforts.

Keep on hav'n fun!
