Joe please forgive me for my ignorance but putting pink panties on my head and the lack of not wanting to wear a red dress doesn't equate to one Manning up so could you please take the time to explain your whole concept in more detail to the group as you have definitely confused and lost me with your comment?

SO, should I get a jug of it or not?

I'm shooting .375 WIn, .375H&H, 405 WIn and 458 WM.

Cat Whisperer I don't have any personnel experience using 300MP in the calibers you mentioned.

I once owned a 405 Hi Wall Laudensack that Barry Darr built back in the 70's and using 415gr. bullets breach seated I shot some exceptional targets using 22grs. of H-108 with Rem 9 1/2 primers and I have found through my extensive testing of 300MP that in both the 32-40 & 38-55 that using +2 tenth grs. it comes very close to the same powder charges of H-108 that I had been using previously. If you choose to try it start out low and cautiously work your way up.

I know you dont John.  You're wound real tight!  Grin

Speaking for myself. I prefer the old ornery bragging John Louis.

By the way, I did a search of Alliant 300MP and found your pictures and information still posted.

Keep up the good work John. Stand firm man!  Grin

hang in there John, we are right behind you
one of my shooting buddies and I have gone to 300MP for our 32-40, 33-47, and 32 Miller. since doing so we have reduced group size, and eliminated all the fliers we used to have.

You sure saved us a lot of work and expense.  Thank you John !!

JLouis, I have to tell you honestly that you are acting like a capricious diva. You are offended because of one person about something and then you deleted all your presentation-posts? You want to punish now all your readers?

There are hundreds of other guys in the forum who really appreciate your information. Now, you demand from all of your readers a please-please-beg-post?

Come on, give it a try! We are a community to share information about single shot rifles and not a stage for demonstrating personally mental states...

I was able to take a trip to the range today to test some 300MP loads for my 38-50 Ballard. I'm excited by the preliminary results. I'm trying to work up a fixed load to shoot in offhand matches. I started with 13.5 grs went to 13.8 and finished with 14.0. The 13.8 gr load seemed the most promising. I'm using .375 Win brass and Winchester Magnum primers. All three loads shot under an inch (I started at 100 yds).
My rifle has a slow 1/24 twist so I'm using a 185 gr Hoch bullet. Next I'll play with seating depth.
Many thanks to John for his advanced work with this powder and for sharing his results.
I tried to attach a picture of my target but the site said my file was too big. Oh well.

Your welcome wcf3840

I would love to see your targets could you please try sending them to the below e-mail address and congratulations on your success. I went through 8lbs of Lot #1 during my initial testing and I just picked up a new lot number so it will be interesting to see how consistent it is from lot to lot.

John,
Why don't you be a man and tell everyone who the SOB's were that complained, maybe we could delete them and their post.

Why are you making everyone suffer just because of one or two PITA's.

OCS  I' am a humble man and it is unfortunate that there is a handful of individuals who feel that my postings of a Rifle and Load combination as well as the targets showing what can be accomplished with this new powder and load combination have taken it upon themselves to classify my attempts to share my hard work and dedication as being boastful / prideful and that is exactly why I chose to remove my test results from this forum.

In regards to who those indivduals are it would not take one long to determine exactly who those individuals are and I will not name names!

In regards to making everyone suffer I have offered to share my test results via a personnel e-mail to me at johnlouis123@att.net
and there have been several who have requested this information from me of which I am more than happy to share without having to go through the process of reading demeaning responses from those who have not spent the time, effort or the money required to test this new powder yet they are more than willing to tell everyone on this site what has seemed to work for them for the past 30 years and I can honestly say through extensive testing that 4227 and pistol primers may not take them where they would like to go.

All of my testing and the results there of have taken place at the range at 200yds and not behind the screen of my computer!
