Fouling control

Swiss 1F is a good powder for my 40-90 BN (groups consistently smaller than Goex).

Any suggestions for a way to control the hard fouling (endemic w/ Swiss) that accumulates in the throat, beyond full bore wiping ?

TNX,
Richard

Use a heavier bullet...  That will up the pressure and move out that fouling.  That is, if your twist will allow you to do so.

Dick, let's start from scratch ... what is the full loading data you are using for the 40-90, including number of grains of Fg Swiss, case length and COL, etc.
Makes it easier to discuss possible reasons for the fouling because there are many factors that impact excessive hard fouling - the primary ones being relative humidity below 40% and high temperatures that preclude sufficient hygroscopic action on the powder at ignition
