Hello, everyone.  I came across an interesting glimpse into our shooting past.   The web site is pronematch.com  This is a small-bore web site dealing with matches across the country especially Camp Perry.  There is some really good stuff in this old video..The team captin Mr. Jacobs is shooting a Martini..not sure make of scope..Malcom?  But what is really interesting is that you can see him take a cartridge out of box, & place it between his lips before loading!  Further along in video, another shooter, this one is using a Win. 52, does the same thing.  I have heard of the old time shooters doing this to re-distribute the lube & give a bit more lubricity..some..Pope included smeared on their own home grown concoctions.  I guess in those simpler times, they were more concerned with high scores, than with any thoughts of lead poisioning!  Good stuff! Grin
