Hello, I have an original Ballard windgage front in need of inserts..I have a set of Mike Stevens for the Winchester High Wall that fit perfect for width, but are too loose in the dovetail cuts..Does anyone have originals for sale, or who makes quality reproductions?  Thanks!

I have the same problem with some of my sights. I cut a piece of rubber band, then lay it at the bottom of the slit. Push the insert down and slide the clip on. Makes like a little spring.  Cheap fix, I'm cheap.

Hello, westerner.  Now thats a clever fix!  Thanks!  When I first got the sight. it was a bit loose in the dovetails..Took apart & found small dia. spring..like ballpoint pen type taking up slack inside..I replaced with a bit longer & stiffer ball-point pen one & now it has even less play.  They say brilliant minds think alike!
