	Was in Charleston about a month ago and got to visit Ft. Sumter. Neat experience. Lots of large single shots there. Cannons that is.

	I got there at 0400 to get the Cavalry riding in but was a few minutes late so I didn't get that. That was the first shot from that gun and I was told by one of the leaders of the refractors said that was one of the original guns that was in the war between the states.

You wouldn't happen to have additional information RE: that particular piece. Perhaps it was poured at the Tredegar foundry/armoury in Richmond. If you could post another couple pictures of the piece, I would greatly appreciate seeing more of it. Also, is it permanently kept at that particular location, or on the other hand, was it brought in just for that day for demonstration purposes ? I think it fits, since it is technically a Single Shot, correct ? C.M.M.

	CMM; From what I was told all of these guns were brought in from all over the country, they even had Reenactors fly in from England and Australia. The Colonel that I was speaking to said that there were two guns there that were original. The black gun in the foreground was found in the up state of SC, The carriage was built to the exact dimensions but the gun its self is original. I wasn't told where each of the guns are kept but I don't know of any of those were out of Charleston. It was also said that the gun in the other post is a Howitzer
