32 Win Spec reduced loads

I have a Martini Cadet that has been re-chambered in 32 Win Spec.  The recoil is killing!  I need info on reduced recoil loads.  I do not want to kill an elephant, I just want to enjoy shooting this nice little rifle.

Many thanks for your help,

David

You can use any load that works in a 32/40. try 12/14 gr 4227 and a 165 gr bullet, like the 319247.

Even with a light load my 32 Winchester Special BSA Martini would kick back and scratch my glasses on the rear sight. Will be getting it from Ron Smith on the 13 th. rebarreled to 218 Bee. I think this light rifle in .218 Bee will be much more fun to shoot than the .32 Winchester Special.

Anyone need a .32 Winchester barrel? Or a Lyman 321317 gas check 173 grain bullet?

I couldn't get mine to shoot light enough. Maybe a much smaller bullet would be required.

32 Win Special is just a bottlenecked 32/40 not bad kickers in a well stocked target rifle. My 32/40 is 14 lbs before I put the scope on.

If that Martini is light and stock has much drop not a lot you can do about it. Our standard Schuetzen loads 14 or so of 4759 is about as light as you can go and get good performance at distance.

I do have a gallery 32/40 load with a 125 gr bullet subsonic using Unique however it's strictly a 50 foot shooter.

12-13 grs of Unique and 170's is very mild in my 1894 rifle.

Thanks fellows.  I think I will let her go or rebarrel.

Good shooting,
