Recoil Reduction

I have a medical condition that mandates reduction of recoil when bench shooting; I know of the Caldwell Lead Sled, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for some type of DIY setup.
Thanks.

Living with severe arthritis, in my Black Powder Cartridge rifle used for silly-wett, I installed a mercury recoil suppressor that works real well.
Made a big difference.

Of course now I don't do the getting on the ground thing, so haven't shot it inna while.
