I have seen a real nice single shot rifle built on what looks like an English action that was made by Matteson Inc. and is in 375 Win. Any idea on who this maker is? It is a nice rifle.

Do a search for Matteson here and you will find photos and a disscussion on Mark Matteson single shot actions about three or four years ago.  There are apparently at least two different single shot action designs.  The first was an attempt to improve the Hauck in the late 1980's.  The one shown in the thread here appears to be a later action.
