History Buffs might help me here.

Been tinkering with restock of old Aydt.  Came across old buttstock off Aydt that I might be able to fit.  It is pretty battered but think I can make it work.  My curiosity is picked by the names carved in the stock.  "Frederico Brandt" over "Dona Josepha".  Where might you think this stock came from?  I'm guessing owner from southern Germany or Northern Italy.  Maybe South America?  I don't know if schuetzen has any history in SA.  Just think it is fun to speculate. "Dona"  without an accent could be Portuguese.  Any ideas?  Charlie

Let me add a little to the speculation here. "DONA" is a title as is "DON". Of Spanish heritage...

Turn of the 20th Century, there was a lot of Germanic emigration to South America.  Stands to reason that there may have been Schutzen shooting there as well.
