If you had a rolling block #2 with an original barrel and the gunsmith screwed up , (horribly) when drilling out the bore to install the new liner , and you now found yourself looking for a competant gunsmith to rebarrel it , who would you use ? It was originally barreled in 22rf and I would like to have it rebarreled in 22rf .
After the barrel is on I am going to have it redone to look like it just left the factory .
Thanks , Steve

Contact John Taylor, who posts here.  He has a website, John Taylor Machine if you do a search.  He can do it right.

John Taylor.  I've seen some of his work here and there, he's going to be getting a Trapdoor from me to barrel

I'll chime in and say John Taylor would be my first choice. He did a Ballard and a Win. Highwall for me and you can't see the liner from the original barrel. I've been working as a machinist for 32 years and I'd say I'm envious of his work. 'nuff said.

Thanks for all the advertisements.
When I first started doing barrel liners I made my share of mistakes. There is a learning proses to getting everything to work together. First you need a piloted drill for each caliber. I usually bore undersize and then take out the rest with a reamer to get a close fit. I have had a few barrels sent in that others had messed up trying to bore out, have saved a few.  Always willing to look at a barrel and help others that are trying to learn.
