The rest of the story. Paul Harvey would know better.

I am guessing the fact that I now can not BEAT the cerrosafe cast out of the chamber that this barrel is no good. So much for saving a sewer pipe. Oh well, it was fun to mess with.

Yes I waited 30 minutes and have done a cerrosafe chamber cast before.

Into the scrap metal pile it goes. After I melt the cerrosafe out of the chamber.

Jimmy,  I'm guessing the Evap-o-rust leaves an etched surface with a good "tooth" for the cerrosafe to bind to.  Perhaps a little judicious polishing with JB's or something a little stronger might save that barrel yet.

Indeed it does Froggie, melt that cerrosafe out of the chamber and polish it with a mop and some JB then do it again.

I remember Cal Worthington. Lady won a law suit for a car he had advertised for 200 bananas. She took the bananas in and they wouldn't sell her the car. So off to court she went. She won.

I'm trying to figure out the relationship to the subject at hand here.  Sorry, but you've got me.
