225 Winchester in a SS ... which is best?

I need advice on which is the best (and safest) single shot action for 225 Winchester.  I do NOT work with the MAXIMUM side of the load data ... but like keeping my eyes and fingers.

Thanks

I have a Stevens 44 1/2 in that caliber.
I believe CPA offers their 44 1/2 in 225 Win. also.
Most 1885 Winchester high walls and the modern Browning and Winchester 1885's should be fine too

I'd check with Steve first to be sure but I'd think you could also add the Earle/Wesson long range action to the list.

I should have specified ... non-bolt rifles.  I knew I'd see a Ruger #1 and #3 on the list ... but is a High Wall really capable of handling 50,000psi? (I think the 225 can reach at least that high ... not that I'd push it that far). I'm kinda' leaning toward a Ruger just because I know a Ruger can handle the pressure.  Still, I like HW's a lot.

Thanks for hte good input and fast response.

I wouldn't be afraid of using any of the modern High Wall reproductions for 225 Winchester. Don't forget that Winchester used High Wall actions as a bed for pressure testing well into the 60s. That would include some pretty high pressure tests. Take into account that the modern reproductions are using better steel than even the last versions that Winchester kicked out and that most repros have bushed firing pins I would think that they would be an adequate bed for a 225 Winchester.

I shoot an orignal  flat spring sst highwall smithed and bushed by CC Johnson in .225.
I use WW brass, mid level loads with 4064 and 52-55 gr. benchrest bullets and see no adverse pressure, easy extraction and good brass life.

Saw a browning LOW WALL yesterday in 22-250 what u think of that?
Reproductions still have to be alot stronger than originals. Dick Trenk told me that the Pederosoli sharps will take any pressures the Rugers will.

Please keep in mind that the made-in-Japan Brownings and Winchesters have modern steels and heat treatmnet, and only sorta-kinda share anything other than their name and general shape with original Winchester high and low walls.  This applies double to the modern low walls in high pressure chamberings.

I  have a Martini Cadet in .225 Winchester.  I was concerned enough about it to call Bob Snapp and ask his advice.  He said don't build one, but if you  have one, limit it to roughly .223 velocities.  I shoot starter loads from the reloading manuals in it and get groups of slightly less than 1 inch at 100 yards.  It's definitely a candidate for rebarreling to something more in line with the strength of the Cadet action, like a .30-30 or a 7x30 Waters.  I'd have to rework the stock and the forearm as well, since they are varmint style.  It's very nicely done, so I'm reluctant to mess with it and I guess I'll just continue to limit how I load it and shoot it.

I also own a Winchester High Wall in .219 Improved Zipper, which is essentially the same cartridge, which can be loaded hotter, although in deference to its age (four digit serial number, 7xxx), I limit what I shoot out of that one as well.

I have a close couple DST High Wall in 225 Win. My best load to date is 33.0 gr Varget with 55 gr bullets. I get 1/2 inch groups @ 100 with it. No pressure signs. I'd feel secure with any cartridge in the High wall up to and including the '06/308 case head.
