CrossHairs on Leatherwood Scope

I have a 3X Leatherwood scope I purchased with the "fine" cross hair set-up.  They may be fine but they look like 1X1's to me.  Anyone know what is involved in switching the wires to a finer grade?  I have a few feet of .0005" wire.
