         Does Brownells Acraglas Gel have a lifeline--is it usable after maybe ten years.  I have some that looks funny, the resin has become sort of flaky, it may have frozen,don't know for sure.  Its in the large container's --hate to throw the stuff away if its still usable.   ledball

call brownells, but I have heard that if you microwave it it will restore to its original state.

Try heating each container of resin & hardener up by placing them in a pan of almost boiling water, & stirring as they warm up.  If that doesn't work to your satisfaction, call the company Monday.  I used some the other day that I know I had for more than ten years.

Leadball throw it away   Sometimes old hardner looses it's kick   I messed up a job this way once   Not worth the risk on a stock you have a lot invested in.

If you are in a bind and have to use some old epoxy make a trial puddle first, Not bad advice for any resin

Don't throw it away.  Call their customer service & b!tich (politely) about it...it will get replaced for you.

2 part adhesives generally have a shelf life of not more than a couple years. I use the loctite fixmaster which retails for about 130 bucks a pound and the expressly state 1 year or less. 10 years  don't trust it as it is no longer stable and it's bonding capacity is probably down by 1/2. The volitile compounds in the catalyst have evaporated off.

I'm not a big fan of the B company  Shocked, but their AcraGlas and Acraglas Gel do really have a shelf life of over seven years...given relatively cool, dry storage.  I used some AcraGlas the other day that I know was over ten years old, and it set up properly when gluing in a barrel liner.

I nuked my acraglas gel resin today, it appears to look normal again. I'll run a small test tomorrow.   ledball

RJM;
            My first impression is that it did not work, it seems the nuked acraglas gel does not want to harden. I will try another batch with more hardner.   ledball
