Recently an internet buddy of mine purchased a Sharps Borchardt 1878 Sporting model, the type with the octagonal receiver ring. It also has the Sharps DST fitted. 

It is in exceptionally good condition, but is missing the setting screw for the DST which screws through a bracket on the front edge of the trigger.

Does any reader have a Borchardt 1878 with the DST who could supply me with the dimensions of the setting screw.

I need the dimensions for the size of the screw head, the dia and length of the threaded section, and the number of teeth per inch.

I'd be very obliged for any assistance in this matter. Thanks in advance.

I'm familiar with the wood dowel (toothpick) method, I've used it myself on other items. I don't actually own this rifle, I'm just trying to help out a fellow enthusiast who has this screw missing from his action. Thanks for trying though, much appreciated.
