John,
Tried your modified Woodruff cutter. Works very well, better than a slitting saw which usually cut on only a few teeth. Thanks for the post.  Now, if I could just get the slots to line up North and South.

I took a hack saw, ground the edges of the blade over a 4 or 5 inch area and you can cut the skinniest slots you can imagine with that set up and you have the ultimate control over it as well. And it's cheap. Simple grind the sides of the blade to a thin measurement and slot away. Jake
