Firing pin strikes way off center

I just picked up a fairly nice Stevens 44 1/2 custom barreled for .225 Winchester.  The firing pin strikes the primer off center close to the edge of the primer, but not on the edge.  I am wondering if this is an artifact of the action originally being made for a rimfire cartridge.

Other than the primer dimple being off center and offending my Germanic sense of order, are there any concerns I should have?  This is an old conversion (circa 1960) so it has been around for a while and seems well used.

Thanks.

Hello Curmudgeon,

Unless your getting missfires I wouldn't worry about it, in half a Century and more of shooting I've seen hundreds of thousands of FP impacts on primers, those that hit dead centre I could probably count on my fingers and toes.   Cheesy
