Time saver while stocking...highwall in this case

After stocking many highwalls I finally took the time to make a template to rough out about 80-90% of the wood when fitting the action to a new stock.  In this case a pistol grip highwall.  Simply use the mortise of the upper tang to locate the template and use the bottom of the template to indicate where to remove wood.  I think this saved about 10 hrs on the latest project.

I've stocked several muzzleloaders and bolt guns as well as a revolver or 2 and never thought to do that.  I'll have to do that when I stock the current project trapdoor springfield
