I am sure this has been covered before but tried to search it and couldn't find anything. Looking for source for inserts for the Stevens factory globe sights.

Slumlord
Distant Thunder made some for me and they work well.  I sent in an original insert for overall dimensions and specified the sizes of the annulus that I wanted.

Their contact info is:  O'hare Tool, Inc

Phil, I purchased the ones marked "FS-Winchester-inserts-Axtell" They fit a couple of orginal Stevens Globe Sights, measured the same except approx. 0.002/0.003 thinner. Their clip also works, just about 1/8 longer than needed, no need to modify

Montana Vintage Arms sells repo sights and also the inserts and the clip. Comparing prices and shipping costs. Thanks for the info on Track of The Wolf. Lost their website info when I switched to my new computer.

Found another source. Mid Americia Recreation  Inc. Fred Miller. Makes a new Stevens 44 1/2 Rifle and all the parts interchange with the originals. T/W him today and ordered firing pins $10, set of sight inserets $20, and retainer clip for the sight $10. Fair prices and nice guy to talk to. Have seen pictures of his guns but never saw one in person. Will follow up when the parts come in. He says he has prety much all the parts in the 1911 Stevens Catalog. He has website but no catalog. Does not do credit cards.
