Tulsa finds (Wannamachers)

Did anyone else make it to Tulsa?  I found more Stevens boy's rifles than last year.  It was a good show all around.  The crowd seemed a little smaller, which made navigation a little easier.  I picked up another mod 101, a mod 16 Crack Shot, and a 14 1/2 Little Scout.  All of them are in real nice shape.  There were a few others that I would like to have brought home, but alas money is always the big issue.  Hope some of you guys went and had as good a time as I did.  For those who go to this big show, I was thinking maybe we could meet up for a social event sometime?

Powderhead, the Virginia folks have done just that (gotten together after a big gun show) for the last 3 years and it has been a great way to break the Winter Doldrums.  We meet in February.  I wrote it up the first year we did it (in the SSR Journal) and it has become one of those things people plan around.  I highly recommend that you and a couple of friends find a suitable place, publicize it here, and do it!  You will have a great time.  You might want to e-mail MerwinBray here for some ideas on how he originally put it all together.

Regards,
Froggie

I've got to jump in with Froggie on having a social get together in the spring. I attended my first this year at MerwinBray's with Froggie and a bunch of the guys I had never met personally. In spite of my "entrance"(inside story), had one of the best times ever with a bunch of SS gun guys. Try it, you'll like it, as "they" Roll Eyes say.
