WWII era 22 long rifle ??

I have an old WWII era 22 rifle and am unsure about anything , this rifle says Kleinkaliber 22 long rifle on one side , which I know means small caliber , and the other side says Bohler-Stahl , and I am told this is a barrel maker .
It has an octogon barrel , it is a rolling block action , it had a rear sight in the stock and is missing (I'm told this was normal)
it appears to be in decent shape other than the missing rear sight , I am hoping someone on this site can help me find out as much as possible about this rifle.
I can e-mail pictures if needed.

yes very much like that , except mine does not have that type of rear site , mine has a square cutout in the stock for what I think might have been a tang style sight (??)
but the barrel is the same , and mine has the same type of engraving , and I think the wood on mine looks older , not sure about the butt plate on the stock , never really looked at it.
but yes it is very much  like that one

Bohlerstahl means Barrel steel  not any particular maker and is I am told the highest standard. My Haenel KK's  are so marked.

Actually, Boehler steel is a company name and they're still making steel in Germany to this day. It does not mean barrel steel; that would be "Laufstahl".
The rifle in question could be a Haenel, a Langenhans, an HWZ or some other German maker. These are all high quality rifles from well before WWII for the most part and unfortunately, 90% fo them in this country are missing the rear tang sight. These are expensive to replace, and even then it will likely be a reproduction sight and not an original.
