Hello Mr. Taylor,

Shiloh Sharps provide castings from which these parts can be made. Try calling Lucinda and ask for prices. Obviously some work will be required. Alternatively, you could try and contact a Mr. J.D.Steele via the Double Gun Forum, he may have the original parts that you require..

John,

Mike T has beaten me to it. The Boulder River Foundry is a part of the Shiloh Sharps business, they occupy the same building. They have been producing casting kits for Hi Walls for a few years.

I believe they also supply these castings to the C Sharps Company that occupy other buildings in the same street.

John,

You might talk to John King.  When I last talked to him a few months ago, he was doing a limited production of these, at least for his own use in custom rifles.

I talked to John King, he is using the same casting from Shiloh Sharps. He is a little backed up like me and said it would be a while to get it done. It's looking more and more like Ballard parts might be the only way to go or try to talk the customer out of going with a DST.

Hi John, I just purchased a real nice double set trigger for a 1874 Sharps from C Sharps arms for my Peabody, in the white assembled was 180.00 I think and all CNC machined, not castings, they make a real nice single set trigger  for the 1885 Win in pistol grip but not a double set. If your customer will go for that you can't beat the quality.

John,

If you need an original to work from and compare to, I'll send you one of mine.  It's just sitting waiting for a someday project anyway.

Thank you Dave. I'll wait till I get it to see what is involved. I did a DST on a roller a few months back and didn't have any trouble. Just got to lay everything out and see where it goes before drilling holes.

Scott,

They do two levers for the Browning 1885. The standard lever and the 'Helm' lever. See:- (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Don't know about the prices, but castings I believe are sold seperately.

Contact Lucinder at Shiloh Sharps for prices.

It was a little over $100 for the triggers, tang, lever and sear. You can get the whole action for a little over $225. These parts are as cast. While a lot of the work can be done with a good drill press and files a vertical mill makes thing a bunch better. Probably best to have original parts to copy.
I talked with John King this morning and he said the drawing from Buffalo arms didn't help him much.

Got the lower tang fitted to the action. Tang needs to be bent for pistol grip then will fit the new lever next. Had to take about .010" off each side and about .020 off the key way. Then cut the angles for the lever dust cover. There is a little gap with the original lever but the new one will be cut to fit.
