colorcase on a BSA

Could some one please let me know if they have ever color cased a international action. I have been told that the BSA  trigger group and barrels are all hand fit will the heat cause trouble with the fit of anything. Thanks to anyone that will give me an answer. Tommy Auger

I've heard that the thin sidewalls of the small BSA actions can easily warp at casehardening temps. I'm sure someone could do it with very careful blocking, but most gunsmiths don't care to take the chance.

The International is a heavier action.  The walls are not as thin as the thnwall cadet.

Bob Snapp, from somewhere up in Central Michigan is a long-time custom gunsmith/Guild member who has made somewhat of a career out of custom high-end, high-art Martinis.   I don't have contact info on him but I'm sure that he would know the answer to your question.  you could also contact Classic Arms who have done the final finish on a lot of the ASSRA "raffle" rifles.   they'd know if they would take on a project like that or not.
