I've been reading on cleaning 22's and shooters choice "Carb Out" seems to be the go to for those guys getting carbon rings out. Supposedly it only takes carbon, no lube or lead so it doesn't mess with their seasoning. They soak a bore mop, and set it in the chamber so it hits that area hard, but not the rest of the bore

What .......no one advocating the use of M-Pro 7? Does seem that most of the big boys and the match winners using black powder use it for the long range game.

Are you sure it’s a carbon build up or could it be lead build up in front of the chamber or even some pitting in front of the chamber which is causing a carbon or lead build up?
  

Just another homesick Texan that shouldn't of left in the first place!
