According to the talk radio program I have been listening too the government have stopped all sales of used brass. The dealer who was on the show said he buys used brass from the government and now since this is no longer available he will be laying off about 30 people. He anticipates the cost of 223 ammo that he was selling for 14 cents a round will very shortly be up to 90 cents a  round or higher. This is not just hp ammo this will affect all brass prices no matter what you shoot. Everyone needs to become involved and vocal with their congressmen about this backdoor approach to gun control.

Along this same thread, I am wondering why it is taking so long for sporting goods stores and mail order stores to restock ammo, primers and powder. I don't know about your area, but around here the stores have been empty for months now.
I can't understand the manufactures, anyone with an ounce of smarts would have seen which way it was going in October and known that there was going to be a rush on buying and tooled up for it, they missed a great opportunity. I am beginning to think the Government has something to do with situation.
Has anyone heard of a reasonable explanation?

Went by a local distributor with a friend the other day, to pick up supplies for his shop.  The distributor told us that they had primers on backorder with all the major suppliers for months, and had just gotten a small percentage of their orders filled.  If the factories are not servicing their distributor accounts, the retail shops sure aren't going to be able to help you!
