Hi

I'm just about to chamber a 375 Krieger barrel 1:14 twist. I have a seperate chambering and throating reamer. Is there any recommendation on the length of the freebore for breach seated bullets.

Most Schuetzen shooters who breech seat end up with the base of the bullet at least partially engraved in the rifling.  My own rifles shoot best with the bullet bases fully engaged, which means about 3/16" to 1/4" forward of the cases for chambers with 1/8" and 3/16" freebore, respectively.  I would suggest using just enough throat to guide the bullet into the rifling...you can always cut the throat deeper later, if you find it necessary.

David is right- I try and chamber BS barrels with zero freebore- why take out metal you don't need to?
