Offer from Edina Coulibay

Print Post
Boy, I'm excited!  I just got an e-mail from a fellow reader of this forum, Edina Coulibay, inviting me to work with him to invest the more than $9 million he inherited when rebels in Cote de Ivorie murdered his father.  He knows I am a fine, honest  fellow because he got my name off the ASSRA Forum members' list.  He must be a good guy if he is interested in single shots, right?  Anyway, since he wants help investing all this money I plan to recruit all of my friends on the board to help me buy up a world class collection of single shot rifles to be displayed and enjoyed both here and in his native Africa. I plan to have these rifles available to shoot at both targets and game on a fine game preserve here in Central VA.  Perhaps we will even branch out into some of the great classic double rifles as well, but that is a different forum.

Since he got my name from the ASSRA Forum membership list, I know he must be a good guy, so if you want to start sending me rifles for this project right away, I promise to send payment as soon as my portion of the $9 mill arrives.  I know many of you will be anxious to get started participating in this project.

Looking forward to hearing from many of you and will let you know when the museum/ shooting range/ game preserve is  ready for you all to come visit.

Regards,
The Azure Amphibian
(In deference to my new-found status)

Yeah, so did I. I was quite vulgar in reply to this crook suggesting he pimp out his mother and little sister as being more honorable than what he was doing.

I was going to list this as a scam alert. It is hard to believe that people fall for this kind of a con artist. When I saw ASSRA member I thought no problem. WRONG!

So did the membership list get hacked?

By the way you should never repsond to one of those emails, it confirms your email as valid and you will get flooded with spam and phish...neither very palatable.

You mean I won't get to exercise my option on the 1000 acres in Central VA and build my shooting preserve and firearms museum?  Embarrassed I won't get to buy all those fine firearms to stock it?  Embarrassed Oh well, any of you who still want to send me a token rifle or two to keep the dream alive can be safe in doing so, because I just heard from a guy in Nigeria who has some money left over after the last coup there.  The dream lives!  Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

        HEY  FROGGIE ...

I shipped you my prestine orginal J. Stevens Model 44 1/2  (Number 52) with coin silver, engraved receiver and 32-40 H.M. Pope barrel, together with the associated letter of authenticity on stationery from Harry M. Pope at his Hartford address dated 1902, for inclusion in your new single shot rifle museum.

It was not intended to be an out right gift. but rather, to be on loan with the museum.  Now that I've learned that the museum will not go into operation, kindly return my rifle at your earlist concenience.

If you could bring the rifle to the February 14 th "get together" in New Market, I'll pick it up from you there.

Please treat it with utmost care until it is returned ...  Grin

Your benefactor,
Creed Moor Match

It's great to make fun ( Grin ) about these ludicrous scam mails ! !
