BSA Martini Cadet

The barrel on my 222R BSA Martini Cadet is a bit rough now and I was thinking of replacing it with a 22 inch barrel in 357 Maximum.
Do you reckon this to be a good choice?
Just thought it would be a bit different to the usual run of small cartridges you can use in this action.
I already have a K Hornet, 218 Bee, 222 and a 223 in Cadet actions.
I have no experience with this calibre and know of no one who has, although I used to shoot long range pistol with a 357 Mag with good accuracy many years ago.
Any comments wil be apreciated.
Regards, Roly.

You need to check and see if the 357 Maximum cartridge will turn the corner and feed first.  Make a barrel stub with a dummy chamber and see if a loaded round will chamber.  Some Cadets will feed the Maximum, no effort, others won't.

Some folks grind the breech block slightly to make it feed. That only weakens the block. Remember the breech block is the locking lugs.

While checking  my 222R I found it will feed the Max, humm maybe I'll build one.
