Long range matches at Lodi

The article in the ASSRA journal about the long range matches at Lodi was very interesting. I noticed that several members of the New Zealand and Australia teams are not from New Zealand or Australia, (at least I dont think they are). Am I correct about that? If so, how are the teams selected? Thanks! Joe S

You are correct in the spirit of everybody shoots teams that are short members are augmented. Also teams are created so that all shooters get a chance to participate in the match.

Just to add to what 40 Rod wrote; each team can have up to 8 shooters of which the top 6 scores are used towards the Team Match Score.  If a visiting country does not have enough members then the teams are filled with members from other countries.  The event being held in the U.S. this year meant that we U.S. shooters that didn't make the A team were used to fill spots for the Aussies and Kiwis. The spots were filled by using scores from the individual matches shot earlier in the week.
By the way, is the new Journal out that has the article in it as mine is still probably on its way.  Bob
